Ranji Trophy, 1993-94, East Zone League Matches
The East Zone League Matches, Ranji Trophy, 1993-94 saw the Bengal and Assam teams earning the highest points.

5 teams played against each other under the East Zone in the Ranji Trophy, 1993-94, the premium domestic cricket tournament in India. The teams were mainly representing different states from the Eastern region of India and they were also the regular participants in the tournament. The teams included the likes of Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Tripura and Orissa and they competed with each other very hard for becoming one of the top two teams in the zone. Getting a chance to compete in the knock out level of the tournament was also another principal objective of the teams, however, only the teams like Bengal and Orissa could eventually do so from the zone. The Bengal and Orissa teams earned total of 24 and 12 points, respectively from the zonal level league matches. The two teams also competed with the top teams of the other zones in the knock out level for winning the championship title.

The first of the East Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1993-94 was played between the teams of Bengal and Tripura and the two teams played the match at Calcutta from 30 November-03 December, 1993. The Bengal team played wonderfully in the match and clinched a victory of an innings and 83 runs for earning 6 points from it. The Tripura team also earned 1 point from the match. The second match of the zone involved the teams like Bihar and Assam and the match was held at Patna from 30 November-03 December, 1993. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration and the match officials awarded both the Assam and Bihar teams 2 points, each for the match. The teams of Bengal and Assam played against each other in the third match of the zone and the match took place at Calcutta from 09-12 December, 1993. The Bengal team played very well in this match also and clinched a victory of 348 runs to earn 6 points from the match. The Assam team could not earn even a single point from the match.

The teams of Orissa and Tripura played against each other in the fourth of the East Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1993-94 and the two teams played the match at Berhampur form 10-12 December, 1993. The match saw the Orissa team playing wonderfully for earning 6 points by clinching a huge victory of 9 wickets and the Tripura team failed to earn any point from the match. The Tripura team appeared in the next match of the zone also and this time, it played against the Assam team at Karimganj from 18-20 December, 1993. The winner of the match was the Assam team with a very good margin of an innings and 59 runs and the team also earned 6 points from the match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Orissa and Bihar playing against each other at Rourkela from 19-22 December, 1993. The drawn match saw the Bihar team earning 2 points and the Orissa team remaining pointless.

The match between the teams of Bihar and Bengal was the seventh of the East Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1993-94 and the match was held at Ranchi from 26-28 December, 1993. Playing extremely well in the match, the Bengal team earned 6 points by winning it with a very good margin of an innings and 172 runs and the Bihar team failed to earn any points from the match. The teams of Assam and Orissa then played against each other in the next match of the zone and the match took place at Berhampur from 27-29 December, 1993. The match saw the Orissa team earning 6 points by clinching a victory of an innings and 79 runs and the Assam team remained pointless in this match. The next match of the zone saw the teams of Tripura and Bihar playing against each other at Agartala form 04-06 January, 1994. The Bihar team earned 6 points by winning this match with a good margin of an innings and 121 runs and the Tripura team failed to earn a point from the match. The last of the East Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1993-94 was played between the teams of Orissa and Bengal and the two teams played the match at Balasore from 04-07 January, 1994. The Bengal team won the match quite comfortably with a margin of 8 wickets and also earned 6 points from it. The Orissa team could not earn any points from the match.
