Kottakkal Sivaraman, Indian DancerKottakkal Sivaraman is a prominent Kathakali dancer. He was born at Kottakkal in Malappuram district in 1936. He was trained for twelve years under Vazhenkata Kunchu Nair at the P. S. V. Natyasangham in Kottakkal. His breakthrough came in 1957. Specializing in women`s characters, he earned acclaim as Damayanti, Draupadi, and Kunti, opposite actors like Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair.
