Yogi, Yoga Practitioner Yogi or Jogi maintains a resolute mind and has the controlling power of emotions by practicing daily the yogas. Yogi or Jogi is often used to describe Buddhist monks or a householder who is devoted to meditation.

Yogi or Jogi is said to be the person who knows that the entire cosmos is situated within his own body. Yogis are said to be of two kinds, the one who penetrates through the sun by means of the various yogic skills and the other who enters the door of the central area and drink the nectar.
