Siddharth Narayan proved his mettle with films in several languages. He started his career with Boys, a Tamil film but his tryst with fame came with Rang De Basanti where he plays Karan Singhania. Siddharth`s incredible screen presence, his impressive histrionic skills, his innate style and his striking good looks have made him a popular Indian actor. He is one of those actors who does not require dialogues to portray emotions.
However it would be an understatement to depict Siddharth just as an actor. He begun his career as an assistant director, has written scripts and sung in his films. This versatile actor prefers to keep media at bay as far as his personal life is concerned.
Siddharth started his career with the Tamil film Boys (2003) and starred opposite Genelia D`Souza. The same pair was back again with Bommarillu (2006), a Telugu film. Both the films established Siddharth as an impressive actor. The latter was a runaway hit. It was his mentor Mani Ratnam, with whom he also worked as an assistant director, offered him the superhit Aayutha Ezhutha (2003). Rang De Basanti came along in 2006. He shared the screen space with ace actors like Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Atul Kulkarni. Inspite of being a part of a multi-starrer film Siddharth left behind an indelible mark with his unforgettable performance.
Siddharth won his first Filmfare award for Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005), a Telugu film. He is also the winner of 13th Annual Star Screen Awards as the Most Promising Newcomer for Rang De Basanti.
In a short span of time Siddharth has achieved great feats yet greater opportunities surely await him.
