Raja and Radha Reddy, Indian DancerRaja Reddy and Radha Reddy are husband and wife. They are very famous Kuchipudi duo. They were born in Narsapur and Kotalgaon respectively, in Andhra Pradesh in 1944 and 1952. They married young and studied the traditional Kalapam repertoire from Vedantam Prahlada Sarma and P. V. G. K. Sarma at Shri Siddhendra Kalakshetram in Kuchipudi village, Krishna district, and at Kalakshetram in Eluru.

Settling in New Delhi, they set a trend of presenting excerpts from Bhama-kalapam i.e. `Satyabhama`s Kalapam` and Usha-parinayam i.e. `Usha`s Wedding`, in which they played the lead couples. Their individual interpretations emphasize masculine vigour and feminine grace. Raja`s choreography of the Dance of Siva, in particular, found favour with audiences. Their duets are dramatically captivating and scintillating, full of rhythmic complexity. Tarangam i.e. `Waves` was based on balancing themselves on the rims of brass plates, has popular appeal. They also choreographed the dance-dramas Bhagavadajjukiyam i.e. `The Sage and the Courtesan` from Bodhayana`s Sanskrit prahasatia, Manmathavijayam i.e. `Manmatha`s Victory`, and Sudama. The Reddys run an institution, Natya Tarangam, to train disciples in New Delhi.
