Mangalam Dam is located across the river Cherukunnapuzha in Kerala.

Mangalam Dam, KeralaStanding across the Cherukunnapuzha River, the Mangalam dam was initially build for the purpose of providing irrigational water in the region. Cherukunnapuzha River is a tributary of Mangalam River. The canal system for irrigation purpose was completed and started functioning in 1966, in the Alathur taluk of Palakkad district in Kerala in south India. The Mangalam Dam lies 50 km away from Palakkad. The site of this dam is a popular picnic spot.
