Kedar Nath Sahoo is a famous theatre personality. He was a female impersonator in Saraikela chhau. He was born in Saraikela, Singhbhum district in 1921. Kedar Nath Sahoo received training as a child from the local prince Bijoy Pratap Singh Deo as the form reached its height, and accompanied the royal troupe that travelled to England in 1936. Later he taught many disciples, eventually becoming director of the Government Chhau Dance Centre at Saraikela. He led workshops on an invited trip to the USA in 1980.
