The Rajasthan and Railways teams clashed with each other in the seventh of the Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1982-83 and the match took place at Jaipur from 14-16 December, 1982. The match remained drawn during the stipulated duration of time and the match officials awarded the Rajasthan and Railways teams 5 and 3 points, respectively for the match. The next match of the zone saw a battle between the teams of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh at Agra from 14-16 December, 1982. The match was won by the Uttar Pradesh team with a margin of 9 wickets and the team also earned 8 valuable points from it. The Uttar Pradesh team then played against the Railways team in the next match of the zone at Allahabad from 19-21 December, 1982. The drawn match saw the Uttar Pradesh and Railways teams earning 6 and 3 points, respectively from it. The last of the Central Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1982-83 also involved the Uttar Pradesh team, as it appeared against the Rajasthan team in the match. The match was held at Udaipur from 25-27 December, 1982 and the Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh teams earned 5 and 3 points, respectively from the drawn match.
