It is difficult to introduce Shreyas Talpade with the help of a one liner. His versatility is apparent in his films. He started his career with Marathi theatre and Marathi serials. One of his most popular serials is Damini in which he enacted the role of Tejas. Overnight he became a household name. Besides these he has also done English plays like All The Best and A Funny Thing Called Love. Shreyas Talpade got his first big break in the Nagesh Kukunoor`s Iqbal (2005). With this film he stepped silently in the arena of Indian cinema. In this Bollywood flick Shreyas Talpade played the role of a deaf and dumb boy who is passionate about cricket and dreams of playing for his country one day.
The film was a big crowd puller. For the first time in his career Shreyas Talpade shared the screen space with acting giants like Naseeruddin Shah and Girish Karnad.
