There was a battle between the teams of Orissa and Bihar in the fifth of the East Zone league matches in the Ranji Trophy, 1961-62 and the match was held at Jamshedpur from 13-15 January, 1962. The match saw the Bihar team winning by a huge margin of 10 wickets and also earning the entire 9 points from the match. The two best teams of the East Zone, Bengal and Bihar clashed with each other at Jamshedpur from 19-21 January, 1962. The Bengal team dominated the Bihar team throughout the match and convincingly beat Bihar by a huge margin of an innings and 176 runs. The Bengal team also earned the entire 9 points from the match. |
