Danu, Daughter Of Daksha
Danu is the name of the daughter of Daksha and mother of the Danavas.

Danu is the name of the daughter of Daksha and mother of the Danavas.

Danu is also the name of the mother of Vrittra who was slain by Lord Indra along with her son.

Again, Danu is a fallen demi-god who was restored by Lord Rama. Danu was the son of goddess Lakshmi. But, Danu was brought up as a demon by a curse. Danu was reduced to a headless trunk by the weapons of Lord Indra. But when Danu met Lord Rama, he was recovered instantly and miraculously.

Danu advised Lord Rama and his brother to go to Rishyamuka. Danu informed that Sugriva, an eminent monkey lives there and he will give Rama the report of his lovely Sita. Danu had previously been employed by Malyavan to ruin the forest in order to ruin Lord Rama.
