Sathaye College was formerly known as Parle College. The Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association established it in the year 1959. The mission of the College is to foster in students commitment towards society and the nation. The college aims at inculcating ethical values within the students.

The college`s fine arts, dance, English Literary Association, Gujarati Sahitya Parishad, Hindi Sahitya Parishad encourage young talent. The College organizes Gravity-its annual Science festival, Byte IT- an inter-collegiate extravaganza by the BSc IT students and Utsav the annual inter-collegiate festival.
