Royal College Of Arts And Commerce

The College is a part of the Royal Society and was founded on December 28,1966 by Asgar Lakdawala. The College aimed at providing education to Bohra and non-Bohra community and to poor and the needy students in general and women students in particular. The Royal College of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management Studies, Mira Road, District Thane was finally established in 1989. It is a manifestation of the efforts and generosity of the philanthropists from Bohra Coinmunity. The College received recognition of the UGC under section 2(f) and 12B in May 1999.

USP of the college:
The College has various Clubs, which conduct co-curricular and extra curricular activities every year. The English Literary Association aims at drawing linguistic skills like poetry writing, song competition and essay writing among other things. Apart from this the Math and Science club, The Association of Royal Microbiologists, the Hiking club and the Student Council are quite popular among students. The college arranges an annual academic festival Gyan Manthan that has students from different departments participating in it. Colleges across the city are also invited to be part of the fest. Each department develops a unique theme and the festival is based on it.
