The MGM Library is the world`s largest with the most modern collection. It comprises more than 4,100 popular titles that serve as the foundation of the Zee-MGM Movie Channel. The Zee Movies channel through this partnership with MGM was re-launched as the Zee-MGM channel in Mid-October 2000.
The library includes legendary series as "James Bond", "Rocky", and "Pink Panther". Some award winning titles, forming a part of the library are - "Thelma & Louise", "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Moonstruck", "Silence of the Lambs", "Rain Man", "Fargo", "Dances With the Wolves" and host of others starring the very best of Hollywood. Originally named Zee Movies, this channel was relaunched as Zee MGM in the year 2000. The channel covers over 11 million homes across India and is also received in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and the Maldives. Zee MGM, which attracted the attention of the viewer with its run of Indian English films, is now focussing on mainstream big films. The channel, which has gone beyond MGM films, had made a big acquisition in Chicago, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere. The channel also added 100 more movies to its library. Some of the big movies are Serendipity, Everyone says I Love You, Jacky Brown, Birthday Girl, Full Frontal, The Cider House Rules, Confessions of A Dangerous Mind, Gangs of New York and Iris.
