Lala Lajpatrai College was built in the year 1959 in the memory of Late Lala Lajpat Rai.

The College was established in the year 1959 by a group of philanthropists. These philanthropists formed a trust after the famous freedom fighter `Lala Lajpatrai`. The vision of the philanthropists was to give the students good education. The college was inaugurated on the eve of Lala Lajpatrai`s centenary birth anniversary.

The USP of the college:
The College gives a lot of emphasis to sports. They have a boxing ring where the inter-collegiate boxing tournaments are frequently held. The BMS department of the college hosts an inter-collegiate fest by the name `Tsunami`.
