India TV is a free to air, 24- hour Hindi news channel promoted by Rajat Sharma the well-known television presenter.

India TVIndia TV is a 24 hour Hindi news channel. Launched in the year 2004, the popularity of this channel has kept growing since then. At the helm is India’s one of the most popular journalists, Rajat Sharma. He is the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV. Due to the endeavours of a talented team this Indian news channel reaches out to about 90 million homes.

The programmes on India TV incorporate in-depth analysis and minute-to-minute coverage of relevant issues. Twenty-minute news bulletins are supported by 10-minute analyses of key events, every half hour. Forming one of the largest newsgathering networks in the country, India TV has reporters stationed every 100 miles, and it does not limit itself to metro-centric news reporting. Instead, it enters the heartland of India bringing news from the most neglected areas. Some of the major attractions at India TV includes `Aap ki Adalat`, ACP Arjun, Alert Viewer, Guru Mantra, Bhavishyavani, Chak De Cricket, Swami Ramdev’s Tip, Jai Shani Maharaj, Aaj ki Baat, Aawaz, Special Report and others.

The channel’s broadcast centre is at Film City in Noida. It is spread over 80,000 sq ft of space with fully automated digital newsrooms, and claims to be the first-of-its-kind in India. With four world-class studio floors equipped with multi-camera set-ups and computer-controlled lighting specially designed for 24-hour live news broadcast, India TV has the largest TV studio floor in Asia built especially on a mega-scale for audience-based shows like `Aap Ki Adalat` and `Awaaz`.

Among the bouquet of programmes there are path-breakers like `Aap Ki Adalat`, Rajat Sharma’s signature show. At this weekly show personages from different walks of life are grilled by Rajat Sharma. Besides this there are crime shows like ACP Arjun. Ranjan Arneja hosts this show in his inimitable style. For those who are interested in shows relating to astronomy, can switch to Bhavishyavani. Hosted by Acharya Indu Prakash, this show is daily aired on India TV. The prime time show on India TV is Breaking News that is co-hosted by Rajat Sharma and Saurav Sharma. It is aired from 9.00 pm to 11.30 pm in India.

A group of talented news anchors conduct the shows on India TV. Besides Rajat Sharma, there is Anita Sharma Bisht, Shweta Jha, Sucherita Kukreti, Deep Singh Parihar, Syed Nazeer Alam, Saurav Sharma, Surbhi Bhutani, Sakshi Joshi, Archana Singh, Ranjan Arneja and others.
