IBN 7 and CNN-IBN have joined hands with The Express Group in launching a two-week long opinion poll, starting May 26th 2007, - `Your President` (on CNN-IBN) and `Aapka Rashtrapati` (on IBN 7). This poll is two-fold, which on one hand approaches MP`s and MLA`s (constituting the Electoral College) to share their opinion on who best deserves to be India`s next Presidential candidate, and on the other hand also seeks to discern the public`s voice on the same.
Within less than a year since its inception IBN 7 has been responsible for numerous exclusive and groundbreaking stories and has been successful in earning a significant name for itself in the Hindi News channel section. Even this channel has been in controversies. In April 2007, the channel abandoned all journalistic ethics on Sunday as it showed to minor clashes in Lucknow and Kanpur throughout the day. The TV channel turned clashes into live news and kept repeating the same footage for hours.
