Hallmark Channel is mainly known for telecasting some of the most popular English movies. Largely telecasted in Europe and America this channel has been recently telecasted in India.

Hallmark ChannelHallmark Channel which is among the fastest moving ad supported cable channel was launched in 2001. Since its launch it has telecasted nearly 100 super hit Hollywood movies which reflect the legacy of the channel. Complemented with its movie schedule this channel presents some popular television series which include `Golden Girls`, `Cheers`, and `Who`s the Boss`. Recently the channel has launched some day time programmes. The channel continues to expand its network with the High Definition Technology which has been introduced in 2008 and spreads the channel to almost all the countries of the world. Among its latest TV shows it includes The Martha Stewart Show, Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn, Pet keeping with Marc Marrone and Martha Bakes. It also includes some original shows like Backyard Wedding, Smooch and Accidentally in Love.

Hallmark Channel though not so much popular among Indian channels has telecasted variety of quality entertainment, the movie genre range from action, adventure, history, biography, comedy, crime, drama, family, mystery, romantic, thriller, westerns, sci-fi and tearjerker movies. Not to be missed are the three wonderful shows of Oprah Winfrey, without a trace and Intelligence. The channel has broaden their product offering by introducing box-office hit Hollywood movies, never-before-seen-in-India series such as Star Trek Voyager, The Guardian, Party of Five and have also premiered the Golden Globe winning original movies like Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows. With the premiere of Steel Magnolias, starring Julia Roberts in May, Hallmark Channel is moving towards engaging mass eyeballs with theatrical movies.

Hallmark Channel follows the channel`s premiere of Courage under Fire, starring Meg Ryan in the US. Not to forget the first TV premier of a powerful new Asian movie named Cages. Brand awareness is increased in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata through a media-mix of outdoor, cinema, websites, radio and print. Hallmark is the only channel that has made Hollywood stars available to India. The stars have always supported the channel by being available both to the Indian press and viewers. From Jason Scott Lee, who came to India to promote Arabian Nights, to Mathew Modine and Jennifer Love Hewitt, and shortly Bride Carter, one of the upcoming stars of tomorrow and the leading lady of McLeod`s Daughters.

Hallmark channel is at present available in all major Indian metros and mini-metros in 9 million homes. Globally, Hallmark Channel broadcasts to over 110 million subscribers. Its distribution has seen a marked rise of 60-per cent in the last quarter. Currently, Crown Media Holdings - which owns and operates pay television channels dedicated to high quality, broad appeal, entertainment programming, operates and distributes Hallmark Channel in more than 100 international markets, incorporating over 83 million households. For an increase in their revenue Hallmark channel has also tied up with Media scope Associates for ad sales in India. The channel boasts of New Show launches that include Australia`s No 1 terrestrial TV serial McLeod`s Daughters in March, and Fidel, based on the colourful life of the famous Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.

Thus with its high definition technology this channel can proudly included among the top most Hollywood movie channels that is broadcasted in India as well.
