Bijala Raja is a Jaina king of Kalyanapura.

Bijala Raja is a Jaina king of Kalyanapura otherwise Silpagiri. Basava was the renowned minister of the state of Bijala Raja. Basava was charged with wasting the state funds of Bijala Raja for gathering money to spread Shaiva religion. When he was charged with that crime Basava made up the deficiency by the grace of Shiva. But, later Bijala Raja was said to be killed by three men in his own palace. Thereafter, the Jainas were slaughtered by the well wishers of Bijala Raja. But the exact date of the death of Bijala Raja is not known.
