Bhatti Kavya, Epic Poem
Bhatti Kavya is an epic poem in the Silver age of Sanskrit literature.

Bhatti Kavya is an epic poem in the Silver age of Sanskrit literature. Bhatti Kavya was written for illustrating the rules of grammar and its sister rhetoric. Bhatti Kavya is valuable for a student for its copious illustration of the grammatical treatises of Panini and Vopadeva.

Bhatti Kavya is worth reading for its comparative antiquity of composition and its classic purity and eloquence of style. It is not the poem without passages of great descriptive power and general poetical merit. It narrates the oft-told adventures of the subject of all verse, the beloved Man-God Rama, his birth, life, his sufferings and triumphs.
