Plan of Kaikeyi Plan of Kaikeyi was inspired by the evil-minded and hump-backed Manthara. Manthara was the maid-servant of Kaikeyi who aroused evil desires in the mind of the queen with regard to banishing Rama into the jungle and coronation of Bharata to the throne of Ayodhya.

As a result of the evil desires of Kaikeyi, one of the queens of Dasaratha, Rama was banished into the jungle. Lakshmana and Sita because of their love and devotion towards Rama went along with him.
