Cat`s eye, Gemstone of Ketu
People suffering from mysterious troubles and hopelessness in life should wear cat`s eye to avert the hugely malignant.

Cat`s eye, Gemstone of KetuRahu and Ketu are always considered together in their activities. According to `Shri Bhagwat Puran`, the nectar pitcher was one of the things that came up from the sea after it was churned (Samudra Manthan). When the gods and demons collided over to get the nectar, Lord `Vishnu` transformed himself into a most striking and charming woman Mohini, who started distributing and feeding nectar to both of them (Rahu & Ketu). Rahu, a learned demon, the son of Viparchitti and Shimica, noticed that Lord Vishnu in the guise of Mohini, was not exercising sincerity. He was in fact giving nectar to the gods and wine to the demons. Then he (Rahu) sat amongst gods in the garb of a god. As soon as he drank nectar, Moon and Sun discovered that the demon sitting within them was Rahu. They informed Lord Vishnu, who axed off the neck of the demon, but he had already turned immortal after drinking the nectar. Consequently, both pieces of Rahu, his head and the dismembered body became two separate demons. The head was named Rahu and the remaining body as Ketu. Rahu and Ketu were then hurled in opposite directions by Lord Vishnu. Both these planets are situated at a distance of 180 degrees apart from each other. Since then, there is unremitting hostility between Rahu, Ketu, moon and the sun. Thus, both of them engulfs the sun and moon, called the Solar and Lunar eclipse respectively.

Ketu`s corresponding sign of the zodiac is Pisces. But actually, it is the sign of Jupiter that is also shared by Ketu. Cat`s Eye is the gem of planet Ketu. It is available in several colours.
