Gogaji Fair is generally held in the month of either August or September. The fair is held in the memory of an 11th century popular hero, Gogaji. He is known as Veer amongst the Hindus and as Zahar peer among the Muslims. Almost all the villages in
Rajasthan as a shrine dedicated to him under a Khejri tree. He is also popularly known as the Snake God. it is believed that the idol has miraculous powers with which he can cure the victims of snake bite. He is depicted as a warrior with a snake around his neck and riding a blue horse.

The visitors at Gogaji fair mostly come in groups carrying multicolored flags to the shrine and singing devotional songs to the accompaniment of gongs and drums. The fair continues for 3 consecutive days. It takes place annually in the month of
Bhadrapada.
A samadi of Gogaji in marble has been established with two minarets. It has been fortified by a boundary wall. An inscription in Persian reveals that Mahmud Ghaznavi highly regarded Gogaji. The primary way of worshipping the hero is by rubbing incense at the Samadhi. Offerings are also made in the form of batashas and coconuts. Cash is also offered at the temple. The fragrance of the incense sticks and the devotional songs heighten the feelings of purity and devotion.
The samadhi is located at a distance of 3 kilometers from the railway station of Goga Medi. It is accessible via train from
Jaipur.
