Ahar is 3 kilometers away from the city of Udaipur. Local transportation, such as, buses and taxis are easily available for arriving at this small town. It lies within the Udaipur district. It was once upon a time the cremation ground for the Mewar rulers. Cenotaphs or chhatris were built for those who had laid down their lives as heroes.
