Tinu Yohannan is a right-handed batsman of the Kerala Cricket team, who has also played for the team India.

He is also a right-arm medium-fast bowler of the Kerala team, who has played for the Indian Cricket team. Tinu Yohannan is from the MRF Pace Academy. His father was a former Asian Games record-holder in long jump. Following his father, Tinu Yohannan initially engaged in athletics in high jump. He even won many gold and silver medals at the state junior level. The retirement of Javagal Srinath made a place for him in the Indian Test squad.

Career of Tinu Yohannan
Tinu Yohannan started playing in the "First-class" cricket in 1999-2000 season. Till then, he has played in altogether 59 "First-class" matches in his cricket career with an average of 11.64. His total scorecard reading in these matches is 524 runs and his highest score in any of these matches is 43 runs. While in bowling, Tinu Yohannan has picked up total 145 wickets by giving 4868 runs out of the 9404 balls in the "First-class" matches. His bowling average is 33.57 and economy rate is 3.10 in these matches. The latest "First-class" match played by Tinu Yohannan was against Haryana at Rohtak in December 8-10, 2009.

In the "List A" matches, Tinu Yohannan debuted in 1999-2000. He has played in overall 45 "List A" matches in his cricket career till today with an average of 7.75. His total score in these matches is 93 runs and his maximum score in any of the "List A" matches is 13 runs. Till then, he has played in 3 "ODI matches" and has scored total 7 runs. His highest score in any of these matches is 5 runs and his striking rate is 63.63. Again in bowling, Tinu Yohannan has taken 5 wickets by giving122 runs from the 120 balls he played in the "ODI matches". His bowling average is 24.40 and economy rate is 6.10 in these matches. The latest "ODI match" played by Tinu Yohannan was against Sri Lanka, which was held Bristol on July 11 in 2002.

Tinu Yohannan has played in 1 Twenty20 match scoring 6 runs with an average of 6.00. In bowling he has taken 2 wickets by giving 33 runs out of 24 balls. His Twenty20 match was against Tamil Nadu at Visakhapatnam in September 25, 2009.
