Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Com (C.A.) (Master of Commerce and Computer Applications), M.Sc. Microbiology, MIB (Master of International Business), M.Sc. Food & Nutrition, MHM ( Master`s Degree in Hospital Management ) are some the postgraduate courses offered by Dr. MGR-Janaki College of Arts and Science. One can also take admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Techniques. Other job oriented courses include- Diploma in Office Administration, Certificate course in Oracle ,Certificate course in MS Office Career Guidance courses offered for GRE, TOEFL, CAT, MAT, SLET, NET and CSIR. Competitive Examinations at free of cost is also conducted in the college.

Research Programmes that are offered include- M.Phil. and Ph.D in Biochemistry and also M.Phil. in Commerce, both in part time and full time basis. Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College houses departments like- Department of Computer Science, Department of Bioinformatics, Department of Commerce with Computer Application, Department of Commerce, Department of Microbiology, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Environmental Science, Department of Chemistry. Teams of efficient and highly qualified teachers work hard to keep up the standard of the college.

Side by side with education, special attention is given on nurturing the habit to actively participate in extracurricular activities which help in development of the personality as a whole. Various college associations present are-- Biochemistry Association, Computer Science Association, Commerce Association, Management Association, Tamil Illakkia Mandram, English Association, Mathematics Association, Dramatic and Fine Arts Association, Athletic Association and Quiz Club.

Conducting guest lectures, workshops, management games, computer games, cultural programmes and audio-visual programmes, are some of the activities that fall under the shoulder of these associations of Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College.

Students also have enrolled themselves as volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) and thus involve themselves in social services in village areas, orphanages, old age home. Special programmes like- exclusive classes on adult literacy, eye camps, health check-up camps, blood Donation programmes and AIDS Awareness Activities. The Blood Donors Club also is active in organising blood donation and vaccination camps on a yearly basis.

Located in a sylvan environment, Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College functions by providing quality and value education with excellent infrastructure. There are separate computer centres along with the facility of internet browsing for undergraduate and postgraduate students, well stocked Bioscience Laboratories with state-of-the-art equipments, spacious seminar hall for postgraduate students. There is also an air-conditioned conference room. Open-air stadium and huge play fields are venues for various cultural events. Hostel accommodation also is granted separately for male and female students. The library is well stocked, which remains open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all working days.
