Aero sports in Karnataka which include paragliding, Para jumping and others attract a large number of tourists.

The landscape of Karnataka is ideal for aero sports. Lofty hills, vast expanse of barren land and expertise of the state has made aero sports to thrive in Karnataka. These kinds of sports are thrilling and they require lot of courage. Once a person becomes acclimatised to the rules of the sport these are a lot of fun. And after all who does not want to fly or glide like an eagle up in the sky! Several organisations in Bangalore provide training to interested persons. The predominant aero sports here are micro light aircraft, handgliding and paragliding.

Aero sports are popular in Bangalore and Coorg district in Karnataka. At Nandi Hills one can try out paragliding. In this kind of sport thermals are used as the driving force. This is the perfect way of feeling and soaring like a bird. Para jumping is another alternative. In case the weather conditions are perfect one can hang in air for a longer period of time.
