He was born on August 30, 1980 in Chennai (earlier Madras), Tamil Nadu. Subramaniam Badrinath has also played for the India Red and Indian Board President’s XI Cricket team.

Subramaniam Badrinath bowls in right-arm offbreak style. He is run-hungry and plays with a correct technique. He made his “First-class” cricket debut in 2000/01. He has played in altogether 63 “First-class” matches with an average of 56.49.
