He is also popularly known as `Roni`. He has also played for the "Central Zone" cricket team. Rohit is a right-handed batsman of the Rajasthan cricket team.

Rohit Jhalani started his "First-class" cricket career in 1997-98. Till then, he has played in altogether 64 "First-class" matches with an average of 18.13. His total score in these matches is 1705 runs. The maximum score of Rohit Jhalani in any of the "First-class" matches is 85 runs. Being the wicketkeeper of the team, Rohit Jhalani has not got the chance to show his bowling skill. The latest "First-class" match played by Rohit Jhalani was against Vadodara, from January 11 to 15, 2011. Sarandeep Singh and Pritam Gandhe dismissed him mostly in these matches.

In the "List A" matches, Rohit Jhalani had his debut in 1998-99. He has played in overall 46 "List A" matches with an average of 14.61. His total score in these matches is 497 runs. The "Twenty20" cricket debut of Rohit Jhalani was against Uttar Pradesh team, which was held at Jaipur on April 4 in 2007. He has played in four "Twenty20" matches with an average of 42.50. His total score in these matches is 85 runs, which includes nine fours. The maximum score made by Rohit Jhalani in any of the "Twenty20" matches is 28 runs and his striking rate is 121.42. Taduri Prakash Sudhindra and P Kumar dismissed him mostly in these matches. His latest "Twenty20" match was against Madhya Pradesh, which was held at Jaipur on April 7 in 2007.
