The Indian movie, `Partner` is a tremendous comedy by David Dhawan. The movie stars Salman Khan, Govinda, Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta. This is a hilarious movie full of extra ordinary performance by Salman Khan and Govinda. The movie is inspired by the Hollywood flick `Hitch`. In early 2008, the director of the film David Dhawan announced that due to the overwhelming response to the film, a sequel to the film will be produced. So the sequel is ready for release in summer of 2008 which is either be entitled Tom and Jerry or Partner 2

The story of the film `Partner` revolves around two protagonists Salman Khan and Govinda. Prem played by Salman Khan is known as Love Guru. He solves people`s problem when they are in love. He meets Bhaskar Diwakar Chaudhary played by Govinda. He comes to Prem for help. Bhaskar loves Priya Jaisingh played by Katrina Kaif. He never even tries to propose her as she is the daughter of a very rich businessman and also his boss. Prem takes the case as impossible and escapes to Phuket in Thailand. His sister stays there. So he enjoys the holiday with his sis and two niece and nephews. Surprisingly Bhaskar follows there and finds Prem. He gets Prem`s sister`s support and convinces Prem to take up his case.

When Prem comes back from his vacation he meets Naina played by Lara Dutta. She is a ravishing photo journalist. She runs from some gangsters led by Chhota Don. This gangster mimics Shahrukh Khan in Don and this character is played by Rajpal Yadav. Prem rescues her and instantly falls for her. As he has taken up the case, he starts teaching the procedure of impressing Priya. But Bhaskar is so innocent that he implies his own style to impress her. After some days Priya falls in love with this simple guy but could not say him because of her status.

Prem becomes aware of the fact that Priya`s father has arranged Priya`s marriage with someone else. Meanwhile Naina is assigned to photo shoot Priya`s marriage so she has to come to the marriage ceremony. She seeks Prem`s help to keep her son. But as Bhaskar ia also seeking his help to come to Priya`s marriage, Prem finally decides to take Naina`s son along with him and come to the party. So all of them come to Priya`s wedding ceremony to convince Priya`s father. And after many actions Priya`s father is influenced by Bhaskar`s acts.

By this time, Priya is ready to marry Bhaskar. Naina also agrees with Prem`s proposal. Everything is going smoothly. Just at that time a spoiled man comes to Prem. He asks Prem for his help in an one night stand. Prem gets angry and refuses to help him. That person Neel ultimately manages a girl and after fulfilling his desires ditches her. Neel says that love guru tells him to do so. This girl is Naina`s friend. When she tells the whole story to Naina she bursts into anger and tries to expose the love guru. She eventually finds out that it`s Prem. Naina starts hating Prem for his action and publish a front page gossip story about Prem and his profession. As for example she has taken the case of Bhaskar and Priya and tells that love guru can settle anyone`s case.

Prem worries about Bhaskar as he becomes very disturbed about the report. He goes to meet Priya and confess the whole thing to her. At first Priya gets depressed about the news but soon she realises that the things she likes in Bhaskar are actually those which Prem told him not to do in front of her. Priya gets the feel about Bhaskar`s innocence and wants to take him back. Prem also makes up with Naina by telling her the truth about not helping Neel. The two couple gets married and goes to their honeymoon at the same place and same hotel.
