Ishan Malhotra is a right-handed batsman of the Punjab cricket team, who has also played for the Southern Railway.

Ishan Malhotra, Punjab CricketerIshan Malhotra is a right-handed batsman of the Punjab cricket team. He was born on May 22, 1984 in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. He is also popularly known as `Sunny`. This right-arm medium-fast bowler of the Punjab cricket team has also played for the Southern Railway Sports Recreation Club.

Ishan Malhotra started playing in the "First-class" cricket in 2001/02. Till then, he has played in altogether nine "First-class" matches with an average of 20.36. He has made his total score of 224 runs, which includes a half-century. The maximum score made by Ishan Malhotra in any of the "First-class" matches is 63 runs and his striking rate is 74.91. AK Mohanty, Lakshman Kishore, Sairaj Bahutule, Mark Ingty, Ajay Barik, Sachin Rana, Timil Patel, Pankaj Singh and Debasis Mohanty dismissed him mostly in these matches.

While in bowling, Ishan Malhotra has picked up total 33 wickets by losing 732 runs out of the 1380 balls he played in the "First-class" matches. Ishan Malhotra played his latest "List A" match against Rajasthan team, which was held at Jaipur on March 26 in 2007.

The "Twenty20" cricket debut of Ishan Malhotra was against Haryana team, which was held at Delhi on April 3 in 2007. Till then, he has played in overall four "Twenty20" matches with an average of 15.00. His total score in these matches is 15 runs, which includes two fours. The highest score of Ishan Malhotra in any of the "Twenty20" matches is 6 runs and his striking rate is 166.66.

Whereas with ball in hand, Ishan Malhotra has picked up total two wickets by losing 67 runs out of the 60 balls he played in the "Twenty20" matches. His bowling average is 33.50 and economy is 6.70 in these matches. Ishan Malhotra has dismissed Mahesh Rawat and Sachin Rana mostly in the "Twenty20" matches. The latest "Twenty20" match played by Ishan Malhotra was against Jammu & Kashmir, which was held at Delhi on April 8 in 2007.
