Dyal Singh College, Lodhi Road, New DelhiEstablished in 1959, Dyal Singh College is a foremost college of Delhi. Initially it was managed by Dyal Singh College Trust. Later in 1978, Delhi University took over its control, which retained its supremacy in the field of governance. Located at Lodi Road, New Delhi-110 003, the campus is situated in close proximity to exquisite locales like Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Stadium, Safdarjung Tomb, Humayun Tomb, India Habitat Centre, India International Centre, CGO Complex and many other institutions both international and national importance.

Dyal Singh College has undergone renovation both in terms of quality and quantity. With the increasing number of students in the passing years, development in amenities and miscellaneous facilities for the students has made the College earn recognition for its educational and co-curricular activities. It has an excellent infrastructure including large lecture theatres, state-of-the art laboratories with internet facilities and also wide expanding lawns and playing fields. The library of Dyal Singh College has a huge collection of more than eighty thousand books and also subscribes to a multitude of periodicals and journals.

Dyal Singh College offers several courses at undergraduate level. These include- B.Com (Pass), B.Sc (Gen), B.A. Hons in English, Hindi, Economics, Geography, History. B.Com (Hons), B.Sc (Hons) in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Applied Zoology, Botany. Apart from these can one also take admission in postgraduate courses like M.A. in English and M.Sc in Mathematics.

Dyal Singh College comprises various departments like English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Economics, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit, Commerce, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, Physical Education. The College also imparts value-addition education to its students through several self-financing, part-time courses like Communicational Skills, Travel and Tourism, Sales & Marketing, Entrepreneurship, etc.

Apart from academic excellence, students of Dyal Singh College also take part in various sports events like Hockey, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis, etc. A handful of students too participate in activities under NCC and NSS of Dyal Singh College. These student bodies run under the management of the efficient faculty members. For providing them scope for expressing their thoughts and personality-building, cultural events also are organised. And for all these events, the college amphitheatre is always the venue. They also ensure their active involvement in the corporate life of the College. The College magazine- The "NEW STAR" provides a forum to the students for expressing their views and reviews on various activities during the year.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Memorial Prize, Prizes and Certificates are awarded every year for academic, sports and other distinctions.
