Amit Singh is a right-handed batsman of the Gujarat cricket team as well as a right-arm medium-fast bowler for the team.

Amit Singh, Gujarat CricketerAmit Singh is a right-handed batsman of the Gujarat cricket team. He was born on June 21, 1981 in Bidar, Karnataka. He is also a right-arm medium-fast bowler of the team. Amit Singh started playing in the "First-class" matches in 2004-05. Till then, he has played in altogether 16 "First-class" matches with an average of 9.58. He has made his total score of 163 runs. The maximum score made by Amit Singh in any of the "First-class" matches is 41 runs and his striking rate is 38.26. Sanjay Pandey, Nilesh Kulkarni, Sanjay Bangar and Sony K Cheruvathur dismissed him mostly in these matches.

While in bowling, Amit Singh has picked up total 47 wickets by losing 1212 runs out of the 2941 balls he played in the "First-class" matches. His bowling average is 25.78 and economy is 2.47 in these matches. The latest "First-class" match played by Amit Singh was against Assam at Guwahati, from December 8 to 11, 2010.

Amit Singh has played in 11 "List A" match in his cricket career. His first match was with Railways cricket team, which was held at Kanpur on March 14 in 2006. While in balling he has taken 12 wickets giving off 156 runs off 165 balls. His economy rate was 5.67 in these matches. His first Twenty20 match was the Kings XI Punjab v Rajasthan Royals at Durban, from May 5, 2009. He played his last Twenty20 match against Saurashtra at Poona, from October 25, 2009.
