Thonde Monastery is set along the foot of the hill in Thonde in Leh district of J&K

Thonde Monastery is set along the foot of the hill in Thonde in Leh district of J&K. It lies about 7km from Karsha. The monastery houses the image of Shakyamuni Buddha and other statues. The prehistorical murals and other arts of the monastery are breathtaking. For local transport, taxis and jeeps are available from Padum and Zangla.
