Praveen Gupta, also known as `Raju` is a left-handed batsman of Uttar Pradesh cricket team. He was born on December 8, 1986 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Praveen Gupta has also played in Uttar Pradesh Under-16 team. Praveen bowls in slow left-arm orthodox style.

Praveen had his "First-class" debut in 2002/03. He has played total 22 "First-class" matches and scored 347 runs. Praveen scored his highest 50 runs in these matches and has an average of 12.85. While in bowling, Praveen has taken 64 wickets by giving 1767 runs from 4330 balls. His last "First-class" match was held against Delhi on January 16-19,2008 at Mumbai.

Praveen debuted in the "List A" matches in 2002/03. He has played total 20 "List A" matches and scored 79 runs. Praveen Gupta`s highest score is 21 runs and average is 9.87 for "List A" matches. While in bowling, he has taken 23 wickets by losing 651 runs from 899 balls.

Praveen played his last "List A" match in Mumbai against Railways on April 5, 2006. This left-arm spinner of Uttar Pradesh Cricket team has saved the team in many matches and brought victory for the team.
