The Jakkur Airfield is famous for its flying training school, run by the Government of Karnataka. It is also known as The Government Flying Training School (GFTS). The airfield has four operational training aircraft for training purposes: a Cessna 172P, two Cessan 152A, and a Hansa. The Jakkur Airfield is considered the best place to begin one`s aviation career. The runway of the Jakkur Airfield is approximately 3,020 feet. The runway attends to the purpose of training as well as chartered flights. Agni Aviation is the charter company situated in the airfield.
