This legbreak bowler debuted in the "First-class" matches in 1999/00 against Rajasthan Cricket team at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. He has played in overall 16 "First-class" matches and has reached to a total score of 280 runs. Abhishek Sharma`s highest score in any of the "First-class" matches is 73 runs and his average is 17.50. His striking rate is 44.58. While with ball in hand, Abhishek Sharma has picked up 30 wickets by giving 1104 runs out of 2185 balls. His last "First-class" match was against Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow, November 24-27, 2009.

Abhishek Sharma had his "List A" debut in 2002/03, which was against "Service Cricket team" at Nehru stadium, Gurgaon. He has played in altogether 5 "List A" matches and has made a total score of 40 runs with an average of 40.00. Abhishek Sharma`s highest score in any of the "List A" matches till today is 34 runs. The latest "List A" match he played was against Himachal Pradesh at Mohali on February 21, 2007.
