| Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India is the trade association of the entire hospitality industry in India. It was set up in 1955 and is headquartered in Delhi.
The apex Hospitality trade association of India provides a constant interface between industry, political leadership, policy formulation, academics and other stakeholders. It is committed to adding value to their services and enhances the quality of benefits to their members. They promote their members business nationally and internationally and find out the latest international and national trends, news, best practices and statistics. They concentrate their efforts on keeping their members updated on latest government circulars, notifications and legal issues and also help them to build a capacity in the industry and develop human resource potential for future expansion.
On the 25th of January 2007, the association comprised of total 3135 members circumfrencing 2004 Hotels, 990 Restaurants, 137 Associate and 4 Regional Associations members. The associates include suppliers to the hospitality industry, hospitality management institutes, consultants and travel agents.
The Hotels And Restaurants Association Of India also encompasses the Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI) institute of Hospitality and Mangement. This institute offers a World-class programme in International Hospitality Administration and International Culinary Administration, certified by Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Switzerland.

FHRAI Awards:
FHRAI has initiated the establishment of a system of accrediting performance in the industry of both individuals and organizations through a system of annual awards.
It has therefore instituted two categories of awards.
Individual Awards:
These are highly prestigious Annual awards of National Stature. FHRAI has instituted these awards in recognition of entrepreneurial talent in the industry and to encourage professionalism and a commitment to efficiency and achieving success.
Environment Awards:
These awards encourage and promote environmentally sound practices in the industry. In recognition of the various segments of the industry`s commitment to environmental concerns, there are four categories of awards given every year. With two awardees in each category a winner and runner up, in all, 8 awards are conferred annually.
