Kollam railhead, a part of the Southern Railway, lies in the close proximity. A good network of roads connects Kollam with all the principal towns of Kerala state.

In order to arrive at Kochi one can take service of airways and reach cities like Bombay, Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Goa, Trivandrum and Bangalore. Rails link Kochi with the principal cities of the country.

Rail : Kasargode railway station is main halt between places like Mangalore and Kannur. Road : N H 17 runs via Kasargode. By Kasargode-Puthoor( Karnataka) road one can reach places like Madikkery, Mysore and Bangalore. Frequent KSRTC bus service are available to go to Mangalore and numerous places of Kerala state.

Alappuzha Backwaters Alappuzha Backwaters is well connected via airways, roads , rails . Airport at Kochi stretches up to sixty four km north. Also The Trivandrum airport lies at a distance of one hundred and fifty nine kms southern part of Alappuzha. Important cities of the country like Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore, Bokaro are connected to Alappuzha as well . NH 47 traverses via Alappuzha and thus connects it with all neighboring places of the southern India.
