Chandanakkudam Festival of Pathanamthitta, Kerala
The Chandanakkudam festival at Pathanamthitta is one of the most colorful of Muslim festival in Kerala.

The Chandanakkudam festival is celebrated in the month of February. This Festival of the Jama-Al Mosque at Pathanamthitta attracts thousands of devotees every year at this month. This is a famous Muslim pilgrim center. Many tourists and believers take the pain and come all the way to the place to join the famous `Chandanakkudam` feast and to witness the grand celebration observed then. The many colors, bright lights, majestically decorated elephants and musical accompaniment makes the festival unique and tries every possible way to leave vivid images in the memory of the visitors.
