Aditya Chopra is the youngest as well as one of the most successful directors in Indian film industry.

Indian film director Aditya Chopra was born on 21st May 1971. He is directly connected with the well-known production house of Bollywood, Yash Raj production. Aditya Chopra is the eldest son of Yash Chopra who made a mark in the film industry with his film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Aditya Chopra popularly known as Adi is known to be a workaholic and always stayed away from the social scene. Aditya Chopra has started his career as a screenplay writer. He had also assisted his father in many of his productions like Chandni, Lamhe and Darr. After assisting his dad with `Parampara` he made his debut with DDLJ at the age of 23, which became a blockbuster and played in theatres for almost a decade. He won every conceivable award for this film, including the President`s Gold Medal for the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment. His second film `Mohabbatein` was also a huge hit that sensitively handled the intricacies of life. He has written stories and screenplays for many of his father`s production as for examples `Veer-Zaara`, `Dil To Pagal Hain`, etc. all are super hit and critically acclaimed. He does not like making any public appearance and never seen anywhere. He never comes in award ceremonies also.Aditya Chopra His younger brother Uday Chopra is an actor and was launched by Aditya in `Mohaabtien`. In 2001, Aditya married his childhood friend Payal Khanna; Payal is an interior designer by profession and has designed the entire swanky Yashraj studio in Andheri, Mumbai. Presently his marital relation is not going well and this may lead to even divorce. Aditya Chopra has taken his dad`s banner Yashraj Films to new heights by producing many superhit blockbusters like `Dhoom`, `Hum Tum`, `Salaam Namaste`, `Veer Zaara`, and `Bunty Aur Babli`. He is the vice-chairman of Yashraj films. Aditya Chopra, as a producer and creative head of Yash Raj Films, has launched various successful directors in the course of the last 3 years. Each of them is settled in their respective fields and continuously making films for YashRaj films. Aditya is planning to launch more directors and tries their luck. Aditya Chopra is one of the most charismatic success stories of Indian Cinema who is constantly trying to take Yashraj films to its height.

The Indian film director Aditya Chopra has won many awards in almost all of his work. He has won filmfare awards as best director for `Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge`. He has also won the Filmfare Award for Best Story and Best Dialogue for Veer-Zaara.
