Mineral resources of Jaisalmer district
Mineral recourses of Jaisalmer district are found in plentiful in different areas of the whole district.

Jaisalmer is a hub of rich minerals, which are found in abundance in every nook, and corner of the region. Experts are of the opinion that the mineral resources of Jaisalmer district have got nationwide popularity. Within the Jaisalmer district, different areas have been marked out for restoring various minerals. Mohangarh, Falsoond, Nokh, Chinnu, Nachana is noted for its resource of gypsum. Lime Stone is found in Kuiala Belt -Sanu, Khinya-Khinvsar,Tulsi Ram Ki Dhani,Parewar,San,Khuri,Pithla. Places like Habur, Amer Sagar,Sipla,Mool Sagar is a hub of yellow marbles. Sand Stone is found in Jethwai,Baramsar,Dhaua,Barabagh. Chacha is a storehouse of mineral called dolomite. Granite mineral is found in Lakha,Bhadali,Mehron ki Dhani,Kohra,Sankra,Sanwada Birmania is a place where one can find mineral like rock phosphate. Silicious Earth , a type of mineral can be located in Kapooria,Mandwa .

Lawan is famous for jasper while bentonite is found in Kapooria. In Baramsar,Badabag,Dhaua,Purohitsar,Didaniya, mineral like masonary stone is found. Most significant belt of the region is called Khuiala limestone belt, which contains highly marked `(S.M.S.) limestone` in the top and also `cement grade limestone at depth`. The whole of the Jaisalmer District has been preserved so the state Government can carry on the work of exploring S.M.S. grade and cement grade limestone.
