Synopsis of the Indian movie `Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam`
The Indian movie `Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam` is a colourful movie with lots of songs and dances. Nandini played by Aishwarya Rai is the eldest daughter of Pandit Darbar. He is a prominent classical singer living in the Rann of Kutch.

Nandini has been brought up with lots of love, care, freedom as well as education among her other brothers and sister. She sings well, never speaks lie, hard working and because of all these reasons she is most popular and lovable of hr parents. A boy named Sameer played by Salman Khan comes to the family far from Italy. His father was a musician who died earlier and after his father`s death Sameer decides to come to Indian and learn some Indian music more specifically Indian classical music. He is a lively person and a very good singer. Sameer and Nandini starts their relation as rivals but over a period of time due to some incidents Nandini and Sameer fall in love. Their love is very pure and they decide to marry each other. But at the time when their love is discovered everyone including Nandini`s parents go against to their love. They even tell Sameer to go out of their house. He tries a lot to meet Nandini and writes some letters to her. But unfortunately his letters don`t reach her in time. In the mean time, Nandini`s parents have arranged her marriage with a lawyer.

Nandini sits in the marriage against to her will with Balraj played by Ajay Devgan. Balraj is a lawyer, although not so settled. He falls in love with Nandini but she still loves Sameer so Balraj decides to go to Italy and search for Sameer. He is in true love with Nandini and shows that he can do anything for her happiness. Nandini and Balraj search for Sameer in every possible places but they don`t find him as they had no information about him. During their search, they come across an obstruction. They are being robbed and Nandini shot by one of the thieves. She gets admitted in the hospital. In the hospital Balraj behaves like a responsible husband and care his wife. After her discharge they get news about Sameer through his mother played by Helen. They go to meet Sameer. This night is very important for Sameer as he is going to do his debut concert.

When Nandini and Sameer meet after a long time Sameer could not see love for him in her eyes. The reason is by that time because of Balraj`s selfless love Nandini falls in love with her husband. Mature Nandini has realized Balraj`s great love for her. She leaves Sameer and goes back to Balraj. She also wants to continue her marriage with Balraj. Sameer leaves her on condition that in next life he is not going to share Nandini with anyone else. This part is sad but the moment when Nandini goes back to Balraj, his altruistic love victories over everything. Nandini and Balraj confess that they can`t live without each other and live their life happily ever after.
