Shweta Shetty was born in Mumbai in the year 1969. The Indi-pop singer made her mark in the realm of music with her solo albums as well as contributions to Bollywood film soundtracks. Presently she is residing in Hamburg with her husband Christian Brandt. Her inlaid talent came to light when she was just 17 years old. Shweta Shetty started her career as a model, side by side she also sang for advertisement jingles. But for pursuing such a kind of unusual career, she had to face tumultuous family constraints.
Johnny Joker was her first album. The album proved to be the first milestone of her success. Rapidly, Sweta became a star in the Indian pop scenario. Apart from releasing solo albums she has also lent her voice for many Hindi films and television programmes. Her first two albums sold record copies of 1.5 million. She also has the honour of being able to perform along with artists like Sarah Brightman and Jam & Spoon. In the year 1998, she released her now iconic album `Deewane To Deewane Hain`. In 2003, she had released another album `Saajna`.
