Meghna Reddy

Meghna Reddy Former Channel [V] VJ and TV presenter Meghna Reddy is known in the glamour world for her gorgeous looks and her keen intellect with which she is known to enthrall all the audiences. Her other two sisters Sushma Reddy and Sameera Reddy are also very well-known celebrities in their respective domains of modeling and acting. In the mid-nineties Meghna also anchored a successful show called `Magta Hai` on Channel [V]. She left for England in order to make her career better in the international domain. She now puts up in New York and endorses popular brands over there.

Recently Meghna Reddy was the cynosure of many an eye in Big Apple where she scorched the ramp for renowned fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. The fashion show, held at Diane`s exclusive Upper West boutique in New York a few days back, had Meghna, who was the only Indian model walking the ramp with a host of international models of repute. Her very first entry on the ramp of New York made her a bit nervous as she was donning a capri and high heels but in the next show she bubbled with confidence when was seen sashaying the ramp in a gorgeous green outfit. At the end of the show she received much adulation from the chief hair stylist Fredrick Fekkai, who wanted a picture with his "favorite new girl". Moreover, New York Times also picked her out as a brand new face and labeled her as `Little Miss Reddy`. She also received huge praises from the topmost celebrities like Natasha Richardson, Diane Sawyer and Julianne Moore. She also worked for the very prestigious Sisley campaign with the renowned designer called Terry Richardson. She also worked very closely with Savio label for a Spring Summer 2003 collection.

Meghna Reddy had her share of bitter-sweet experiences in the vibrant city of London, but her international modeling career scaled new heights, and there was no turning back again for this svelte model. Blessed with extreme confidence and poise, she is known to sashay down the ramp, setting it on fire both in India and abroad. Her passion for the profession of modeling had not only won her many accolades and recognition in the modeling circuit in India but also in that of the international arena. Some of her dazzling modeling assignments include the New York show, modeling for designer Diane von Furstenberg, for which she received rave reviews form celebrities like Julianne Moore, Diane Sawyer and Natasha Richardson. The other finest projects she has done are the Sisley campaign with designer Terry Richardson, Savio label for a Spring Summer 2003 collection, and the sensual Copper advertisement. She has also appeared on the cover of the August edition of National Geographic Magazine, covering an article on `changes in traditional families` and depicting a clever photo of her mom in a saree and her in a skimpy outfit.

On the personal front she holds no regrets in her life. She has won a round of accolades for her stunning looks and interesting hairstyles, which also compliments her bold yet modest and down-to-earth nature. She completed her formal education at Bombay Scottish School and then went on to St. Joseph`s Convent and Synedham College to pursue higher degrees. In the year 1994 she created headlines by dropping out of the Miss India Contest and stated the reason that she would miss out on other exciting careers if she won. This is one of the other reasons, which further motivated her to look to the glamorous profession of veejaying. After enjoying her veejaying profession to the core she enjoyed the new role greatly and made her modeling career her prime focus. Then she shifted to the West to add more feathers of success to her hat by taking up international campaigns. This determined soul truly deserves the huge praises that she has earned so far in her career and it is also expected that she will walk many more miles before she quits her glamorous profession.
