Konark Beach situated in Puri district of Orissa, is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in India because of its long stretch of clean sparkling sand and tranquil ambience. At a distance of ten kilometers from the beach , the Ramchandi Temple is situated. The beach offers great view for sunrise and sunset and also great opportunities for fishing. The famous Sun Temple is situated at a distance of three kilometers from the beach. It is more calm and quiet than the beach in Puri and is ideal for sunbath.
On the auspicious occasion of Magha Saptami Mela people from all over the country come to the Konark beach to take a dip in the holy waters. In the evenings, the beach looks gorgeous because of the illumination.
