Chapora Beach is famous for the five hundred years old Chapora Fort , North goaChapora Beach is located at a distance of ten kilometers from Mapusa in North Goa and is one of the most interesting beaches of Goa. A major attraction in the beach is the Chapora Fort. The best time to visit the place is from November to March. The other major beaches in the vicinity are Vagator Beach and the Anjuna Beach. Compared to other beaches in Northern Goa, Chapora is a popular destination among tourists visiting Goa. White sands, black lava rocks, swaying palms and the marvelous greenery characterize the Chapora beach.

Close to the Chapora beach there is a village, which is set on the estuary of the Chapora River, and close to the village there is a rocky hill where the Chapora Fort is situated.
