Geeta Basra is the latest entry in the Bollywood Film Industry and is also the latest discovery of Aditya Datt. She actually hails from the vibrant city of London and made her silver screen debut with the Bollywood flick, `Dil Diya Hai`. The film was produced by Balabhai Patel and directed by Aditya Datt, the very soul who was responsible for the launch of this gorgeous damsel. It was expected that the same team that gave us `Aashiq Banaya Aapne` last year would recreate the magic this year but unfortunately the film did not do that well in the box-office. However it did not stop the actress for captivating the hearts of the audiences with her glamour and charm. She has also managed to grab the spotlight in the film and everyone was awaiting her presence on the screen.

In one of the recently held interviews Geeta Basra recounted the experience of the whole journey that she underwent to hit the glamour world. Like countless others, she too, harbored dreams of becoming an actress and began working towards it while she was still a child. She used to take part in all the plays and stage performances in school and kept on preparing herself to become an actress. Then she decided to shift to India to make her dreams come true. It was a big decision on her part to pack her bags and come to India but then with the support of an uncle back home she landed up in the tinsel town to see her dreams come true. Her parents hardly took her seriously in the beginning but then her mom realized that she was dead serious helped her out with her plans. In the first instance she enrolled herself in an acting school and started getting trained under Kishore Namit Kapoor, the man under whose guidance actors like Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Esha Deol have been trained and have established a firm footage for themselves in the industry. She also started taking lessons in mastering the language of Hindi and perfecting the local lingo. Having stayed in London all her life, she did not know a word of Hindi before she came here but with the rigorous training she perfected herself within a short span of time.
