Ranbir Kapoor was born on September 28, 1982 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is an Indian actor appearing in Bollywood movies. Ranbir Kapoor was born to popular actors- Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. He is the brother of Riddhima Kapoor and also the great grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, and the grandson of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. His uncles are Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor, and his cousins include Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Nikhil Nanda.

Ranbir Kapoor made his debut as an actor in November 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Saawariya. His co actor in this film was the newcomer Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor`s daughter. The film had a moderate success at the box office. However, he received many positive remarks for his breathtaking portrayal of the lovesick singer, Ranbir Raj. Many directors and film critics have addressed Ranbir Kapoor as supremely talented. His handsome looks and his sincerity in the performance are the striking features of the actor.
