Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute: This was founded by Swami Kuvalayananda in the year 1924 at Lonavala of Maharashtra. The Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute has many sections like ` Shriman Madhav Yoga Mandir Samiti` to look after research section, `Goradhandas Seksaria College of yoga and Cultural Synthesis, Yogic health care center, ashram, Philosophico Literary Research Section in Yoga.. A journal is published from the Yoga Institute named `Yoga Mimansa`, which contains reports of the scientific researches on Yoga.
The Yoga Institute : This is one of the oldest institute of Yoga situated in Santacruz, Mumbai. The institute is a non-profit organization that offers training to the Yoga teachers at a very reasonable cost. The campus is always busy with various classes and courses.
Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram : The Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram was established by TKV Desikachar in 1976 as attribute to his father T Krishnamacharya, who was a great Yoga teacher. This institute earned international fame. Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram aims to cure various diseases through Yoga practices, as well as it has research section for better health by alternative life style.
Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana: This institute is established on the idea of Swami Vivekananda who gave emphasis on Yoga practice as that denoted the ancient philosophy and teachings of India. This has separate academic wings for running short-term courses, certificate and diploma courses named Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana or SVYASA. The institute is situated in Bangalore in a area of 110 acre amidst the nature. This also has a separate publication house.
International Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers: This Institute was founded by Swami Vishnu Devananda in Montreal, Canada in the year 1959. Though the institute has many branches all over the India, it mainly operates in the foreign countries. There are approximately eighty branches in USA, Europe and other parts of the world. The International Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Center has made the practicing of Yoga popular to the foreigners also.
The International center for Yoga Education and Research(ICYER) and Yoganjali Natyalayam: This institute is situated in Pondicherry and provides many facilities to tourists and visitors to learn and practice yoga. The Institute also works for classical Karnataki songs and Bharat Natyam dance.
